So, I’m thinking of making these weekly recipes a series called “What’s For Dinner Wednesdays” – thoughts?! Lol. It’s been so fun sharing these dinner ideas with y’all each week! I absolutely love when y’all send me messages saying you used the recipe & loved it! Today I’m sharing how I make Baked Ziti. This one was HIGHLY requested after I shared some behind the scenes on my IG stories the other night!
Okay, let’s do it!
What you need:
-
Penne noodles (I use this GF brand)
-
1 pound of ground beef
-
24oz pasta sauce (I use Ragu)
-
2 cups ricotta cheese
-
Shredded cheese
-
1 egg
-
1 onion
-
Oregano
-
Salt & pepper
What you do:
-
Chop up the onion and start browning it in a skillet. When it’s mostly cooked, add the ground beef and cook those together completely. When they’re done, drain the grease. Return to skillet and add the pasta sauce. Let that simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
-
In the meantime, in a large bowl, mix together ricotta cheese, 1 cup shredded cheese, egg, a little bit of oregano, and salt/pepper.
-
Boil water in a pot. Once water is boiling, add noodles and cook them for only 5 minutes.
-
Mix the noodles, pasta/meat combination, and ricotta cheese mixture in a large dish and sprinkle more shredded cheese on top.
-
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes, or until everything’s bubbling and cheese is melted.
