It’s that time of year again!! In my opinion, the NSALE is the best sale of the year. It’s better than any other sale because instead of it being last season’s items on sale (like how swimsuits go on sale at the end of the summer), this is brand NEW styles for the upcoming season, marked down to the best prices. Today I’m sharing my tips for shopping the Nordstrom sale so you can get ahead of the game!
If you are unfamiliar, this is how it works: the sale is previewed to everyone starting today (June 29). You’ll be able to see everything that’s on sale and add it to your wishlist. Depending on if you have a Nordstrom card and what your status is in their points system, you’ll be able to start shopping on whatever date you fall on. This chart below breaks it down:

Some tips for shopping the sale:
Typically when the preview comes out, I will start adding things to my wishlist. I usually add anything that catches my eye. I add more than I plan on actually purchasing, because A) things will sell out before I’m able to check out and B) I will sort through and make final selections later! Check out my selections from last year here.
I use this sale to buy my “basics” I’ll wear all fall/winter long. Sometimes I’ll splurge on a cute sweater here and there, but this is really a great time to purchase a new pair of jeans, boots, coats, etc.
Things sell out FAST during this sale, so don’t wait to purchase your favorite pieces. Nordstrom has free shipping and free returns, so if you change your mind later, it’s super easy to return it! On the day I’m able to shop, I sometimes stay up until midnight to add things to my cart and checkout asap. I’ve had things ready to go the night before and waited until the next morning and they were gone before. It’s a bummer when that happens!
This is also a great time to stock up on Christmas gifts! I know it’s still summer, but take advantage of these sale prices and stock up on gifts early. Your future self (and bank account) will thank you!
With all of that being said, I hope to be a resource for you but I also don’t want to encourage you to overspend. You truly do not NEED any of this stuff. I am just here to help, for those of you who are shopping!
